But now Gemma Arterton can add a new string to her acting bow. The 27-year-old stars in new movie Byzantium, where she plays Clara - a vampire.
When Clara and her daughter Eleanor, played by Saoirse Ronan, go on the run, they seek refuge at a local B and B. But the two couldn't be more different.
Clara earns them money through being both a pimp and a prostitute, whilst gentle Eleanor yearns to be a writer and to share their incredible story.
