Respectfully and histroically, it is empircal, the one and true church is ours....
Why did he convert? For marital reasons? I remember hearing many years ago that he had married a Catholic woman, so it's my assumption that he was drawn to the faith through her...
But then again, I don't know much about Catholicism, so I am not one to speak on such matters! :-)
Comrade, yes his wife is Catholic much like Cherie Blair, Tony Blair's wife...
It's technically his 3rd wife I believe but it is her 1st marraige, hence the other two don't really count against Newt in terms of being able to fully carry out the sacraments. (communion, etc)
